[Request] Stock boot image

Well, I'm doing some experiments with my device but right now I messed its boot image and now it's stuck on "Sony Xperia" screen when I turn it on. Unfortunately, I can't simply reflash the firmware because Flashtool doesn't work with Xperia M5 yet. And, since I (temporarily) unlocked my bootloader, Xperia Companion/Update Service also refuses to do a software repair (because of the unlocked bootloader). And to close, Sony Emma Service (which is the official tool for devices with unlocked bootloader) simply say there's no firmware available for my variant (E5643). In other words, all I have at the moment is fastboot, and all I need is a copy of boot.img of a working unit in order to "ressurect" my phone.

I'm trying to simply get the boot image from boot.sin but it's in a different format than from previous Xperia devices I worked on and thus it won't work, so, I kindly ask if someone with a rooted Xperia M5 running stock firmare (the firmware version/device variant doesn't matter, it can be from single SIM devices too) could run the following commands from ADB and then upload the file that will be pulled from the phone here:

Problem with DCIM Folder.

Hi,

I have lots of internal storage and SD card storage. But I can't click any pictures using camera. Camera says that there is no internal storage.

I have checked file system with ES file explorer. There is a folder called DCIM, but if I try to explore the folder then its says 'sdcard/dcim not found' and if I try to create a folder called DCIM, it says operation failed.

Please check the screenshots of the camera error and storage space status.

Please tell me how can I fix the DCIM folder?

What computer application to use to restore my .bak file to my note 4?

I have an unrooted note 4 on 5.1.1 and I created a backup using Wondershare Mobile Go, but when I tried to restore it, none of my files or apps would show up on my phone, even though the program said it finished transferring. And I made sure to set it as the default messaging app
What other program do you guys recommend? Thanks. Also it would be nice if it is free.

Canadian s6 5.1.1 rooted with custom rom , call going voicemail

Hi evryone . I am currently on the xtresto lite rom but this issuse persisted on tyranus rom aswell. This 5.1.1 rom is giving me the issue where randomly calls go straight to voicemail. I read rogers updated the firmware to fix this but since i am on a custom rom i cant take advantage of it. I dont mind returning to stock i jus dont know how. Any help is much appreciated:o

"My Places" edge panel/widget is really useful

I don't know if people already know this, maybe it was already in S6 but I didn't get the S6 so this is new for me. Anyway it's really useful although not for its primary function. Basically it's an edge panel/widget that shows 4 app shortcuts you can have and changes based on your location. The cool thing is it can also change settings like put your phone to vibrate or turn off Wifi. I'm sure there are third-party apps that do this as this is Android, but I've always been somewhat of a purist, I'd use stock as much as possible because there is no ad and no additional background power drain etc..

Change menu button brightness?

I use my Tab in low-light a lot and was wondering if it was possible to lower the brightness on the Back and List buttons. They are a little too bright for my liking, but still need some illumination so I dont fumble around looking for them. I have xposed installed and didn't see anything along the lines I need.

AOSP(?) Or uncompiled source code for SM-J320P

My roommate is going to begin working on getting this device rooted. He told me to do that he needs the uncompiled kernel and source code (I believe, if that doesn't make sense please correct me). I have rooted my phone before by myself so I have a little experience, and can get temp root so far on the phone. Would anyone know how to acquire what he needs? I have the device in question and I'm not afraid to risk breaking it to get this done.

Also if anyone has any general advice I can pass along to him please let me know. Thank you!

Bootloop after Supersu

Hello,
I have a samsung S3 and cyanogenmod 13. I installed supersu because lucky patcher told me that my phone wasn't rooted (even though the root check was ok) and when I tried to install it (from the app. Launching the app was successful) that didn't work so it recommended me to go into recovery and install it from there. I have TWRP so after it was installed my phone got into bootloop.
Now I can't get out of it. I made a backup (while in the bootloop) and I tried wiping cache and dalvik cache but still in loop.
I seriously can't go through factory reset again. I did it a lot of times before and now I installed so many things on my phone and had it changed to my taste in a perfect way so I don't way to lose anything. And unfortunately I didn't make a backup in ages (only the one while in bootloop) and I don't have Titanium backup.

So what to do now ? How can I get out of the bootloop without losing anything ?
Or can I do a factory reset then restore the data from the backup I made without getting into the bootloop again ?

Huawei Ascend G526-L11 Encryption Unsucessful

Here is my original problem:
"Please help, i am encountering Encryption Unsucessful on my phone. Already tried Factory reset in stock recovery but it didn't fix the problem. Failed on mountings.

Bootloader is also locked." (Can someone give me the code please? I already have an account at Huawei but it says I must wait for 14 days to request for a code, sadly i need to fix my phone asap)

Suggested solution is flash:
Can anyone tell me what type of backup this is? These files are inside a .zip archive.


Also, as suggested, i would like to flash this backup to my phone using SPFT, but this is all i have. If this isn't the one to use, can i convert it to make it compatible for SPFT?? (Cause it doesn't have scatter file)

Additional Info:
ADB can detect phone with different commands:
adb devices (recovery and sideload)
fastboot devices

Tried firmware update from Huawei site using Qualcomm Platform Multi-Download - QPBLFBML01Ver1000:
Errors:
First one was Open Serial Port Fail
Second was Midway Download Fail

Sony Xperia Z3 D6616 possibly hard bricked?

Hi all! I have a Sony Xperia Z3 I recently acquired, it seems to be bricked, possibly hard bricked I'm not sure, but the phone refuses to boot into fastboot or flashmode. Here's what I've noticed so far:

NOTE: the bootloader was unlocked, the phone got bricked after flashing a build of cyanogenmod on the device.

• The phone shows a red LED when left plugged in to charge overnight
• If power button + volume up buttons are held, the red led turns off and the phone vibrates 3 times, but nothing else happens
• When connected to the computer via USB, the red led will appear again for a couple seconds, then disappear, then appear, and repeats this process until unplugged. While this is happening you can hear the computer recognizing the phone being constantly plugged in and unplugged.
• When plugged into the PC, flashtool recognizes the phone as "Device Connected with USB debugging OFF"
• Booting into fastboot or flashmode doesn't work, no matter what button combinations I've tried none of them worked to put the phone in either of these modes.

Is there any way I can unbrick the phone? I don't think this is a driver issue as the computer is recognizing the device in device manager and flashtool sees it, however shows "Device Connected with USB debugging OFF". Is there anyway to somehow enable USB debugging in this state?

I've also tried using adb commands to reboot into fastboot, however this is pointless as the phone is not recognized as an ADB device, when you type "adb devices" there is no devices listed.

Review of ULAK Clear Slim case

Ok I got the case free courtesy of a member here who posted that the company wanted reviewers here in the states for the S7.

So I was a bit skeptical of the case - but I have to admit I am really liking it.

First of all it does not suffer from the same halo/oily effect as the Sprigged Ultra Hybrid clear case that I bought for the phone.

Second, the back of the phone has some sort of raised feet to keep the full back raised up a bit (to help prevent premature wear/scratches I would assume). This feature I do like. The front has enough of a bevel to help protect the screen if played flat.

Third the cutouts are mostly perfect (the speaker is a bit close for my tastes).

Fourth the TPU around the sides makes holding/picking up the phone very easy. All in all I am liking this case and will probably run it for a few days to continue testing it.

LG4 - Keyboard problem

Hello,

My girlfriend just bought a new LG4 phone. She often need to write letter such as é, è, à, etc (french op). However, when she is sending me those letters, I am receiving a ? instead. I'm owning an Iphone 6 but we tried it on other devices and still, we got the same problem. She tried to change her keyboard for the google one, still the same problem.

Random Restarts after Kingroot

I used Kingroot to root my stock Z3v and everthing went well and got root access on my phone. Now randomly my phone restarts just for the heck of it. Phone's doesn't seem like it's overheating. The Samsung S7 partner up with Whitepages, a caller identification and phone scam detection, on top of all that, you'll be able to find nearby businesses whilst searching through the dialer.
My phone is Australian, which is one of the 16 countries involved with the S7 and whitepages.

So what gives,
When I make a call, I get "identifying caller info" then the number comes up with no caller id.
I go into the dialler search for a place nearby, it just searches my contacts.

Absolutely nothing works as promised...or am I missing something..

1. Download KingRoot

2. Extract ZIP package with app desired or use a desktop, then place files onto phone

3. install the APK, and ignore any warning pop-ups
4.Open the app upon completion of app

5. You will be presented with the main screen saying no root avaliable, CLICK ON TRY TO ROOT

6. App will now start executing root

*May be slow so give it time
*Make sure to allow blocked apps if presented with a pop-up
7.If all went well you will be presented with a ROOT SUCCESSFUL screen OR phone will restart and you will have root

***At this point DO NOT request or run any apps that require root until the device is restarted.
8. Enjoy Root!
-If root is not accessible upon restarting, go into KingUser Su and click on REPAIR ROOT

Optimal NVS optmus gpu performance

Which is the best for performance and opengl es 3x support? given that Ferrmi cards aren't going be supported by the vulkan api by nvidia drivers.

1. To disable optimus and run the nvidia gpu using their Linux driver.
2. Same as above but run with Gallium driver.
3. Same as above but with Nouveau driver.
4. Bumblebee - is this even supported by Remix OS?
5. PRIME - Same question as Bumblebee is it supported?

I managed enable the nvidia gpu whilst in optimus mode using
nomodeset i915.modeset=0 nouveau.modeset=0 which ran Gallium llvmpipe but the performance was dreadful and the resolution was lowered, is Gallium llvmpipe a software renderer? is their a way to run Gallium hardware rendering the same as Intel gpu or is Nouveau the proper usage scenario?
Remix OS kept crashing using just i915.modeset=0 nouveau.modeset=1 and Aida64 stalled / locked up but ran without problem using the Intel gpu.

Dolphin emulation performance?

I was curious if there were anyone using the Pixel C for emulating games. I think dolphin is one of the most resource intensive emulator out right now with good android suppprt

So for those who are using Dolphin, what type of performance levels are you getting with various games?

I'm curious about Mario and Zelda games the most, but I'd like to hear as much feedback as possible.

Also, does disabling encryption help with performance of dolphin emulation or is the bottleneck CPU/GPU?

Thoughs on Supcase for S7. Good protection?

I got the Defender for the S7 and I actually like the case and it's rare but the screen protector actually fits pretty flush. Still not the best but improvement from past Defenders.

Anyways what is the Supcase/Unicorn Beetle like for the S7? I had one for the Note 5 and it was okay and had a great built in screen protector but the case felt kind of thin protection wise. Is the S7 one any good and offer good drop protection compared to the Otterbox Defender?

No service

Hi,
I have a problem with my brand new Galaxy S7 edge. It's a European model, unlocked, bought in the official Samsung store. It was working fine but yesterday it lost service for a while. I switched it in and out of plane mode and service was back. Today it suddenly lost service and nothing seems to help. Tried plane mode, factory reset, changing network settings. Sim card works fine with my old galaxy s5. IMEI and serial number are correct. Any thoughts?

S7E software problems or lag?

Anyone else having any glitches, lag, strange behavior, etc. I don't know if it's just me but my s6e+ seemed to run a little smoother on LP than new s7e on MM.

issues I have with mine:
After reboot the keypad for entering pin has input lag and sometimes erases

The notification bar will open blank when I have notification and then close and re open with notifications, sometimes it will open and phone will freeze for 3-4 seconds

If I am listening to music over Bluetooth in my car and I compose a text message and attach a picture, it cuts off my music and I have to press play again.

Hopefully we get another OTA soon that fixes some of this. Anybody else having issues?

Questions about changing DPI

I have been search through the post and I know the problem of changing DPI.

The most important things I need to do is to remain the LG apps to 640 DPI.
But I just have a question, whats exactly the list of LG apps I need to remain 640 DPI?
In the App setting, I found many keywords "LG" such as "com.leg.xxxxx.xxxx" something like that, do i need to change that also or just basically any Apps that comes with LG such as phone, SMS etc.?

Kodi on Nexus Player Crashes while browsing movies list (from NAS)

Hi. I have 3 nexus players. I've had kodi Isegard and now Jarvis on my Nexus players. Under Videos > Files, I'm using SMB to point the library to 5 different folders on my NAS which (combined) include about 900 video clips. When I go to the "Movies" section and start browsing the list, within about 15-30 seconds, Kodi closes without error or warning and goes back to the nexus player main screen. If I select and play a video before it has an opportunity to crash, there are no issues and I can watch the entire video with no issues. This happens on all 3 Nexus players, however, the same setup on my windows based PC does not have this issue while pointed at the same folders on the same NAS. The nexus player has over 4GB of free space as well. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Phone seems to turn on, but screen completely dark.

Hi,

My S4 SGH-M919 is having a problem where it appears to turn on, charge, and boot to the OS, but there is no response from the screen. The bottom buttons illuminate but the screen doesn't want to turn on. I've tried removing the battery and holding the power button down for an X-number of seconds, but this doesn't seem to do the trick.

Any ideas?

Display Burn-in protection not workin

Hey guys, got my zenwatch 2 a few days ago, and I was always unsure if the burn-in protection was working so today I decided to make a timelapse video, and it confirmed my suspicion that it is not working. Tried with both pujie and a stock watch face.
I tried forcing it via dev options, but everytime I restart it toggles back to off, any idea how can I fix this?

friends its my new lenovo a6000 with kitkat preinstalled , i have not done any OTA update till now
but i see around only 200-300 mb RAM free , which is very less , opening several apps hangs phn.
so friends i request you suggest me any custom ROM that gives me around 600-700 MB ram free without any bugs .
Earlier i had Karbonn android One , with 1 gb RAM in that i got 800 MB free RAM. :)

Note 5 theme with clock icon that displays the time

Brightness slider issues - goes to min randomly

Hi Folks,

This issue happened a to a few times now within a short time frame. The problem is like this:

I set the brightness slider somewhere about 30-40% and have the auto mode on. This way the min brightness would not fall below the slider point (I assume and this is the way I had with all my andorid phones) and works quit well.

The issue I encountered is that the brightness slider would go down to minimum (auto is still there) on it's own and stay there. I didn't have any power saving options turned on as the phone is still burning in.

The only time I noticed this is in the evenings and night. Still wondering what's causing it.

Game service is disabled on my phone.

I just bought myself a Note 4 from my local T-Mo shop. I kept my Note 5, but will use it as a backup phone. I couldn't handle not having a removable battery, MicroSD slot, and IR Blaster.

Has anyone else made the upgrade from the Note 5 to the Note 4?
Has anyone considered making this upgrade?

The first thing I did when I got home with my new Note 4 was root, install TWRP and than flash TekHD's TEKXodus ROM. He makes amazing ROMs! I didn't even set up the stock ROM.

cannot take screenshots [home button] + [power button]

just realized i can't take screenshots using the usual [home button] + [power button] combo (as in, nothing happens). i killed a couple of processes using package disabler pro, but not faceProvider (which i dont even see)

anyone else having this problem, any settings i need to change? just noticed some apps don't like screenshots being taken (e.g. standard chartered's banking app, which makes it difficult to send screenshots to show payment confirmation)

Can someone post their build.prop and camera_profiles.xml here?

Zenfone laser has a max shutter speed of 32 seconds, and zenfone 2 doesn't. As you may know, zen2's (ZE551ML) camera has min/max shutter speed at 1/2s and 1/500s in manual mode.

I edited the camera_profiles.xml file in root folder system/etc and the result is you can set the min shutter speed from 1/2s to 1s, and the max shutter speed from 1/500sto 1/2500s.

Could you, laser owners, post your buil.prop and camera_profiles.xml here so I can try to enable this on the other model?

Why no 60fps video recording?

Has there ever been a reason as to why we do not have the ability to record in 60FPS? The fricking LGG2 could record in 60fps... Why do we not have that ability? Is it as stupid of a reason as google puts no effort into the camera app? No doubt the hardware is capable.

Problem with ADB

Hey guys,
i have an big problem with my HTC One M7:

I installed "One_M7_7.15.401.1_stock_system_dump.zip" from HD Revolution to get on Lollipop but it showed an Error and after restarting i cant get into the Phone and i cant get into the recovery. The recovery pops up for like one second or less and throws me into a bootloop.


I wanted to flash a new Recovery via adb/fastboot but my Computer doesnt shows me my device. On the bootloader in the fastboot menu it shows "Fastboot USB" in red.

I installed much different drivers but it just doesnt show up. In device manager it says: Unknown USB Device (device failed enumeration) and the error code 43 in details.

I just dont know what to do anymore...

Anyone got an solution for that?

i unistall some app like google books,google music,etc.....

then i use supersu-me apk to eliminate kingroot

when the supersu ask me for binary update ...i select normal...

then ask me about rebbot ...i click yes...

reboot and stuck with the message "optimizing app" and "start app"
then reboot and the same thing happen..

T-Mobile S7E screen defective- don't be like me

Learn from my mistake:
My GM-935T was just a few days old when the screen cracked. It was not dropped, thrown or run over by a truck, I simply pressed the home button with my thumb and felt it pop. It cracked on the right edge next to the home key, exactly where I saw a tiny blemish (only visible with a close look and a flashlight).
I've had the 3, 4, 5, 6E and take perfect care of my phones, this is the first time I've had a cracked screen and it certainly seems like a defect.

Here is where you can learn from my mistake:
I took it in to T-mobile since it was only 8 days old and politely asked to talk to the manager about returning it as defective. They instructed me to turn it in to insurance as they would not take it back or exchange it. I mentioned I would send it back to Samsung even though it was purchased through T-mobile and they told me don't even bother, they would not except it because the screen was cracked. They insisted the only option was to turn it in to insurance and pay the 175 deductible. Needing a replacement quickly, I took their advice and turned it in to insurance. DO NOT do this if you feel the phone is defective. Defective phones must go through Samsung for repair/replacement.

After I received my replacement from insurance, I thought this really isn't right I'm out 175 bucks on a phone that was 8 days old and it would be different if I caused the problem.. I contacted Samsung and you guessed it, they need the phone sent to them in order to validate it was defective. Learn from my ignorance folks!

So my wife and I both received email approval for the Gear VR now. No more "pending fulfillment".

Ship dates..... Wife's APRIL 18TH!! MINE MAY 8TH!!

I guess 4 to 6 weeks is out the window, even if you pre-ordered your phones the first couple days like we did. Bummer. But hey... At least they're Comin'!

Cannot delete files using file manager

I am trying to delete few hidden files created in my internal memory using efs file explorer as well as stock file manager. The files are not getting deleted and i get error sorry operation failed with efs and stock file manager says sorry could not delete due to unknown reasons.
I tried deleting them using pc but they comeback with reboot.
I am rooted.

Phone "bricked"? Unable to detect phone via adb, or go to recovery. Suggestions?

Hi,

I was trying to sideload the new MM update over adb. Somehow it got stuck at 49%. So, I rebooted my phone and tried again. MM update was getting stuck at 49% every time.

So, I tried to reboot to recovery to install the update from there. But now, my phone is not going to recovery mode. It just shows me 4 options (Reboot, Install update, Wipe data, Power off). And install update does not allow me to select sd card, so I cant even choose the update.

When I try to boot normally, it just shows the first screen (Lenovo in white, with "powered by android" at the bottom).

I tried connecting to PC, but my phone is not detected by that K3 Note manager tool, or by Pda.net tool. So, I am not sure, what I can even do next.

Blocked Galaxy S5 SM-G900R6

Hi People.
First of all, to the admins, I verify my question over the forum. Found some post about my model SM-G900R6 , but didn't found an answer to what I need. I you believe this post have to be deleted, just do it, and I am sorry for any trouble.
Well,
I have a Samsung Galaxy SM-G900R6. I bought it in the street. I verify the model info and it is a CMDA phone. I verify some web pages for the IMEI and it didn't appear in blacklist. But I believe somehow the company in which this phone was working (whom I don't know which is) is blocking the phone.
The phone right now is working using Wi-Fi. And:
1. Don't let me use the codes or the service menu.
2. Don't show me the network operator's option.
3. Don't show me any way to set the APN.
Things that I did:

1. I rooted it. And found some apps to try to change network or make thenetwrk operator working. None of them works for me.
2. I try to install a Custom firmware (cyanogenmod 13, and made the backup with TWRP Recover, wipe all, and flashing it. But it didn't work.
3. Flashing OTA rom from other galaxy 5 models, none of them works.

What I believe is happening?
1. I believe my phone IMEI is blocked on the CMDA networks in my area.
2. I think the best way is to change that IMEI. But I tried a lot of methods but none of them works.
What I want?
1. I just want to connect the phone to a carrier.

Any clues or Help?

Cellular Network unavailable

Just switched over to Ting from Sprint using same cellular network. We didn't have any trouble on Sprint. Now however both me and my wife's Nexus 5x get signal drops and when we go to make a call see "Cellular Network is Unavailable" messages. Anyone else see something similar?

I've spent some time trying to find out whether I can get Cyanogen on this phone, and it seems like the answer is no, but I think I might have an unlocked bootloader for some reason. Whenever I start the phone, it shows an unlocked padlock and the text 'custom'. I've also booted into Odin mode. Does this mean that my bootloader is unlocked? If it is, does this mean that I can install a custom recovery and then a rom such as Cyanogenmod 13?

Whenever I switch my Sim cards for using data my clock time is changing

So whenever I switch my Sim cards time on the clock changes, sometimes it changes back but sometimes it gets stuck.when I travel it does that again it happens all the time. Is it normal? Does anyone has faced this problem? Please help.

Fingerprint scanner vanished - Alternate password forgotten

I posted this on the Galaxy Tab S forums too. Sorry, but I'm a bit worried this might have a grim solution :/

I done goofed.

Allowed the young one to play with the tablet, lo and behold, the fingerprint scanner was "gone" and the tablet was requesting the alternate password, which I'm ashamed to say I have no Idea what it is.

I've tried to access the tablet with Android Device Manager, which gives me 3 options, RING - BLOCK - ERASE
After researching, I read that clicking on block and setting up a password there would work, but it doesn't. It just gives me a message saying that "Since google has verified that a screen lock is already set, the password that you entered won't be needed"

There's no samsung account set.

While I know I could do a factory reset, It would be sad to lose some of the photos and files on the device.

Crazy ideas to help this fool here?

Solved: Block BT/Headset volume warning and other task automation w/Macrodroid

One of the things I was missing w/my S7 Edge due to the lack of root was using Xposed to block the high volume warning that annoyingly appears and interrupts increasing the volume when connected/listening via BT or a headset. My wife and son also wanted to never see that volume warning again.

My wife also wanted to also automatically turn off wi-fi when she arrived at work, and turn it on again when she left. (Privacy issue.)

I also wanted to set volume to mid-level for ringtones and notifications at work, then max them out again when I left.

We're doing all of above via Macrodroid, and it is such a delightfully well-designed app that I think it deserves some love.

There are a number of similar apps w/varying levels of complexity and capabilities. I own/use Tasker, for instance, one of the most powerful. The thing that makes Macrodroid stand out and why I like it so much is it's excellent designed, so easy to use interface, and the fact that it's powerful enough" w/out overwhelming w/options. Translated - I installed it on my wife's and son's phones and both were setting up their own macros in just a few moments w/little or no assistance from me.

Definitely worth a look if you'd like to automate some tasks....free for up to five macros, which should be enough for most casual users. Just removing that damn volume warning should make many happy enough to buy the full app even if you don't need to. :)

Can I get some recommendations on a good email client

Hi I need a good email client because ever since I updated to marshmallow gmail doesn't sync automatically anymore and yes I've tried everything from deleting and reinstalling gmail to clearing it's data, clearing play services and framework data, removing all the accounts and re-adding them and doing a factory reset but nothing works it'll work for a little while but then stops again after about an hour also went on the gmail forum and asked there and saw dozens of other people having the same problem with no luck on getting a solution
If anyone had any other ideas besides switching to a different email client it would be greatly appreciated as I'm accustomed to the gmail app I also tried inbox and I still don't get notified when an email comes in. It's really frustrating as I rely on receiving email notifications promptly for work and checking my email every fifteen minutes to see is getting old real quick. I tried blue mail but don't care for it

Audio output override

Hi I have a Nexus 6 and I got a little bit of water damage in the headphone jack that makes the phone think headphones are plugged in all the time. Gorrilla glass?

So I thought the gorrilla glass in these new phones are supposed to be top of the line? Or you would think since the front and back are both glass (correct me if I'm wrong).

Anyways the first time I drop my S7 I get a hair line crack about an inch long going right over my back botten.

I dropped my Note 4 (previous phone) over 100 times and the only thing that happened is i dent the metal frame a little bit.

Is it a pain to replace the screen yourself on S7 since the back is none removable?

[HELP] Constantly freezing, any solution?

Today this S6 Active started to freeze randomly, before even fully booting. I'm able to ODIN a firmware onto it but can't boot into Android, and even in recovery the phone will freeze (and go to a black screen). The LED indicator up top switches from blue to light blue consistently regardless of the mode.

Any help? What would be the best way to get this phone fixed? I no longer have an account with AT&T so I don't know if AT&T/Samsung would be able to assist me with this phone... please help :mad:

Lumia 950/950XL Service level execution

Hi,

I've been able to use vcREG 1.5 on a 950XL to execute any exe file via services.exe, except it's getting stopped by Code Integrity. That's also why putting older NdtkSvc.dll doesn't work on the newer phone (aside from the fact that it has to be in c:\windows). I thought oh maybe any valid arm executable signed by microsoft would be enough, so I copied some executables from the Raspberry Pi Windows 10 IoT image, but I could only get them to run inside the app sandbox because they weren't in the system catalog :'(

Zenfone wont charge

yesterday i put my phone to charge while slepping and i had some technical problems with electricity in my home so the power kept coming and going so my charger got fried and my zenfone wont charge anymore with any adapter i tried using 4 others charge, tried connecting to pc, tried turning it on but still my zenfone wont turn on. when i press power button it makes 2 vibration it shows like its charging and the led than turns off. I know something in the phone got fried and i send it to service but they said they dont have parts, so im going to buy them online but i dont know what it got fried (usb port, battery or motherboard).

[HELP] LG G2 Constantly rebooting plus other problems

Hello, I bought a refurbished LG G2 and the unit has a few problems (that I think are related to each other). First of all, the device keeps rebooting, sometimes it gets stuck on the LG logo, sometimes on the AT&T logo and sometimes it boots and works for a few minutes then freezes and reboots again. I tried factory reset, reflashing the firmware (using tot files) but nothing works.

Other symptoms include :

1. When I turn off the screen it never turns back on (double tap/power button don't work)
2. The date and time are reset every reboot (time always goes back to 12:01)
3. In the "About this phone" section, there is no baseband version, no IMEI, no wifi info (mac adress etc)
4. Cellular, Wifi & Bluetooth do not work
5. There is a constant "Error" notification on the bottom of the screen
6. Phone randomly reboots
7. If I remove icons/widgets from the home screen they reappear on the next reboot

Does anyone have any information on how to solve this? Thank you!

Bricked Galaxy Core Prime

(NOTE: This is NOT my phone, but I do have it until it's fixed)
I tried rooting this MetroPCS Galaxy Core Prime via Kingroot, something went wrong. After I rooted it, I gave it back to its owner, and he came back from Spring Break with a Samsung paperweight. Recovery doesn't work, neither does booting it up regularly. It gives me the " Custom Binary blocked by FAP. " and in red text, it says " SECURE FAIL: KERNEL " So, I was like "Hey, no biggie, let's just flash the stock firmware." Well, there's an issue there. It boots into Download mode, but it doesn't show up on Odin. I REALLY need help, as this isn't my phone. Thanks guys.

Help to get h901 kdz

I'm trying to find the kdz for the t-mobile model, I want to flash it in my phone and maybe I can unlock my bootloader.
I appreciate any help, can somebody try this??

-Download fiddler here
-Install and open it. skip any advertise.
-open lg bridge and plug your phone.
-navigate to software update section and click on "update error recovery" lg bridge starts to search for your kdz

-now, on fiddler you'll see your network traffic, press cancel in the recovery process when you see something like this:

-right click in the url and go to copy --> just url, or just highlight the string and press ctrl+u.

How to fix popup screen and uninstall ViPER4Android Audio Effects?

My phone just root and install siratus rom.Then installed xpose installer with some modules. After activate module and restart, everything fine. So i install ViPER4+driver and flash ViPER4 theme. After restart it show pop up " Unfortunately ,T-mobile has stopped" . It's so annoy me a lot. How to get rid of that. I tried to find anyway to uninstall ViPER4 but seem unluck. Anybody know how to?:(

Getting Milk on S2

I apologize if this has already been addressed, but I looked through 10 different threads and didn't find what I was seeking. This has been a PITA for me.

So I had a Note Edge and went into the store to trade it for a cheaper phone while grabbing a Gear S2. The cheaper phone I grabbed was a Galaxy Core Prime. I did this because I have a Blackberry Priv that I use as my primary. When I started the S2, Milk was already on there, but so was someone else's contacts, messages, numbers, etc., suggesting that it was evidently a restocked item. When I formatted it, Milk disappeared. Now, had I known that one needed a special high-end Samsung phone to even get Milk on the S2, I obviously would have kept my Note for an extra day to do just that. As it stand, the S2 works perfectly with the Priv, but it cannot access the Milk Companion in the Galaxy Apps Store. My Galaxy Tab S doesn't connect with gear at all, and the Galaxy Core Prime has access to all of the relevant apps but doesn't meet the requirements to connect to the S2.

Does anyone have any solutions or suggestions for getting the Milk app on my S2? I've not been able to find a WGT file for the life of me, and I'm half-tempted to root the Prime so that I can access the Galaxy Apps Store companion file, as I suspect that's the necessary widget. If there's not a simpler solution though, I might try to go to a Samsung Kiosk or a carrier's store to see if they won't let me temporarily pair the S2 with a sufficient Samsung phone to grant me Milk access. I've got 2gb of data for this watch and it'd be nice to come close to using it.

Solution: Run every app and game on MM update.

After update the Phone to marshmallow i formated my Samsung 32GB micro sd card ad adoptable storage and start restoring my apps and found that some apps and games are not working like asphalt 8, modren combat 5 etc, they immediately crash after opening, so i this it is Marshmallow app compatibility issue but it is not every single app runs smoothly by this solution.

Step 1: First take a backup of all app on a pc because this method will delete the apps and their corresponding data from sd card.

Step 2: Goto settings>storage & usb> under your micro sd card storage detail there will be an option "micro sd card not inserted" click on it, and then click "forget"
Then after complete the process, reboot your device and install your apps.
Note:- This method only works if you have selected adoptable storage.

Galaxy Note 5 N920R - No Signal

Hello to Everybody,
3 days ago I bought in Hong Kong a new Samsung Galaxy Note 5, model N920R4, I think US Cellular. The Phone worked correctly with all the Sim Cards, but now, after a Soft Brick and a new Flash with Odin of a R4 Rom, the phone don't take the signal. He ask me to put the Pin Code but after that No Network :confused::confused:
I tried with Chinese Sim card and Italian, the both worked correctly before. I'm sure that is not an HW issue.....but how I can fix?

Where is native visual voicemail?

When marshmallow came out, it was touted that T-Mobile was one of the few providers that native android VVM (in the phone app) would work since it was carrier specific. This is something everyone misses if they go from iPhone to Android.

But, my S7 Edge is missing the feature, the only option is t-mobiles ****ty VVM app that I already disabled along with all of the other t-mobile bloat. What gives?

Marshmallow backup and restore

Hi,

I have a droid turbo 2, and have all the backup and restore settings checked. I've had my phone connected and untouched overnight, several times, but it seems to have barely backed up even the most basic stock apps. The Google Drive files are so small that I question whether anything is backed up (see attached pic). What am I doing wrong? Is there a way force a backup via brute force?

[Q] [Help] Installing gapps on Chinese S6

Hello everyone!

I have a Chinese Galaxy S6 SM-G9200 (I bought this on a trip and didn't realize what a pain their version of android is, they pull and block installation of anything google). In the past when there was an update, I would install the update, install TWRP, then use TWRP to flash gapps. Yesterday I installed the 6.0.1 update (build G9200ZCU2DPC1) and got TWRP running, but I can't seem to find a gapps package that works. I've tried the packages from the open gapps project to no avail (the phone goes into a bootloop anytime I flash it, and yes I tried wiping the phone before, after, not at all, and repeatedly), and it doesn't appear anyone has made an S6 specific gapps for 6.0.1. Can anyone help me? This phone is basically useless to me without gapps ( On a side note, does anyone know if it's possible to downgrade from 6.0.1 to 5.1.1 or did the partitions change?

Need help, can't install custom roms.

Hey there, I need some help with my N910T Note 4.

I have tried to install a few custom roms. So far here is how it's gone:

1st Rom, Tried to install Tekxodus' rom, used odin to go to stock dok2 -> cf autoroot -> twrp -> booted up twrp and tried to install the rom's .zip.. And bootloops. I try it multiple times, it goes smoothly until I go to boot and it always bootloops.

At this point I give up on this rom and go to try firekat:

Try to odin ank4: odin gives me "FAIL (AUTH)"

I google and find that I am stuck with lollipop roms? Alright well I'll try Rapture then: Try to update my baseband and bootloader using raptures tutorial and files -> Odin "FAIL (AUTH)"

So I thought maybe I should start from scratch, I try the stock dok2 baseband and bootloader.. "FAIL (AUTH)"

What in the hell do I do now? The only rom I can succsfully install is the stock dok2 rom.

Would greatly appreciate any help.

EDIT: Another note: If I odin stock dok2 and then odin cf autoroot, it also goes into bootloop.

Special Notes

I have included a app called "C3 Toolkit". It is the only app that will let you change the kernel parameters and a crap
load of other VERY useful features. It may look intimidating at first, but once you mess with for a day or two its alot easier to use. Please feel free
to ask for help if you need it.

There is one setting in there that you must be very careful with...its called Entropy. Entropy has 5 presets. DO NOT select Extra large. If you do your
phone WILL crash and a hard reboot will boot it back up...But, you MUST go into C3 and reselect a preset or it will crash again. Please understand
what I just said. It WILL crash.....
